Washington Trip: Part 1

We started off our trip in Albuquerque and like all responsible adults do before an 8 hour road trip, we got up at the butt crack of dawn to go to the International Balloon Fiesta. For those of y'all not from NM or unfamiliar with this, you NEED to check it out. Last year was my first year and it was awesome. It is pretty crazy being down on the field, one minute you are walking between all the balloons then all the sudden they start ascending. Every where you look there are balloons filling the sky. You definitely should add it to your bucket list loves!

On the way to Las Vegas we stopped by the Hoover Dam! It was another bucket list item checked off the list :)

After spending the night and next morning in Vegas with Baylor Babe and her sweet hubby, we drove to SF. For those of y'all that have driven that way, there is not much to see the first 200 miles or so. So the pictures were limited, but I managed to snap a few.

Stay tuned for part 2 of the trip!

Where is your pink ribbon?

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There are pink ribbons floating around everywhere and event after event to help raise money. Breast cancer research has taken huge strides in the past few decades and the survival rate has increased as a result. Unfortunately not every story ends with a happy ending.

I came across this article last week and it broke my heart. The lady nailed it in the title, the last three pictures broke me. Take a few minutes to read the article then say a prayer for all those affected by this awful disease and all that have lost loved ones in the battle.

Man oh man I sure am lovin' all this fall stuff. Trees changing colors, cool nip in the air, pumpkin flavored everything, morning teas and evening scarfs! Take a few extra minutes today to step back and appreciate the smaller blessings God has placed on this beautiful earth for us.

Update Time

Well as you guessed it, life has not slowed down since we last talked. Lets just say I am very thankful to finally be on my vacation month! Whoohoo ;) So as for the update on all my craziness, here we go!

My last rotation was in Lubbock, Texas living with with Mrs. Lubbock and Kaydence Lynn. To make my stay that much better, High School BFF had her precious little boy the first Tuesday I was there! Both little ones are absolutely precious and have their Auntie Lauren wrapped around their tiny little fingers! I sure am lucky that my friends have the most precious kids to keep me busy until I have my own.

So as for the rotation, it was GREAT! I was with Walgreens doing Medication Therapy Management as well as some pharmacy management and other stuff y'all probably do not care about the details, but I had a blast! My preceptor aka boss was great, which no doubt my rotation that much better. It was definitely the best rotation that I have had so far, which led into my vacation month perfectly.

Vacation. . . ahhh can we just sit and think about that for a minute. No homework, tests, studying, working, or dealing with mean customers for an ENTIRE month? No stinkin' way! Well I wish it was that easy, but y'all know I am not the sit back and drink coffee all day kind of girl. So lets just break it down for you . . . (take a deep breath)

I spent one last weekend in Lubbock with my loves and their little ones. On Tuesday I drove to Kansas to Surprise Brother of Mine for a few days (which I have had a ball BTW). Tomorrow I will drive down to Roswell, NM to help Daddy O out at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair. Next Wednesday I am meeting Laker Lover in Artesia to get our hair did (of course), then sometime towards the end of the week I will be headed back to my parents house to re-pack my car before I leave for Washington. On October 8th (the following Tuesday) I am going to ABQ for a few days to see some friends and hopefully work a little. Then the BEST part of the vacation happens after we hit up the Balloon Fiesta, on Ocotober 11th Mother Dearest & I will be loaded down on a week long road trip to Washington for my next rotation!! Whewww, did you get all that?

I can not tell you how excited I am for October the 11th. Knowing that I am a planner, I already have the trip planned out "slightly" but would be willing to take suggestions to cool places to hit up. So far on the itinerary we have: Las Vegas (to see Baylor Babe), Pfieffer Beach (at the suggestion of Future Famous Guy), San Francisco (I am sure Miss Football has a few suggestions here for me?), Napa Valley, National Redwood Forrest, Portland, Seattle's main tourist attractions and the suspension bridge in Vancouver. What places to we need to hit up along the way or in those spots?

I hope y'all are all doing great! Until next time lovelies!

Happy Birthday Laker Lover

Today is Laker Lover's 24th Birthday! Unless you guys know LL you don't realize how big of a day today is. Not only is this the last year we are in pharmacy school, the next chapter in our lives, but 24 is LL favorite number! Haha So y'all do me a favor and shoot her a text, hit her up on fb, or give her a call to wish her a happy day. I hope you have an absolutely terrific day doll! Party it up!

Catch Up Time

Alright guys, well I officially stink at bloggin' and Miss Football called me out on it the other day! I completely missed the entire month of July. :( Things have been pretty crazy around here lately. I am currently about to finish up my THIRD rotation for pharmacy school and gosh this summer has just flown by! Since I would be bloggin' for days about everything that has been going on, I figured I will just show a few pictures to catch y'all up on the last month and a half. Buckle up y'all, its going to be long!

Mom's side of the family went camping between Rotation 1 & 2!
It was an absolute blast & I wish we could have spent more than 4 days!
Here is a little description of Brother of Mine & my relationship.
Of course Laker Lover and I had to have a few BB dates
while I was back in ABQ for my 2nd rotation!
One of the easier weekend's I had on Rotation #2,
Laker Lover and I had a movie marathon while I did my nails!
Oh and of course I had to buy my personal car mascot :)
The last full weekend in ABQ, Laker Lover's Dad and Sister came to town.
We started off the weekend with dinner and a movie.
Of course you can't go to a movie without sneaking in some candy.
The next night, Laker Lover, her sister, Fratty Frat, My Little B & I
all went out to the famous DB! We met up with some other friends there
& had an absolute blast! Can't beat country music and two-steppin' cowboys.
I captured this beauty one of my last nights in town!
Man, how great is our GOD!
This little angel turned 6 & 7 months old while I was MIA!
Isn't she just absolutely precious?
P.S. Less than a week until I get to go stay with her :)
One night I got a little excited that we were finally getting
some of God's beautiful rain! Gotta love summertime monsoon season.
Home sweet home for Rotation #3 :)
I mean I guess I can live with driving past this beautiful scenery
twice a day on my way to work. Life is rough, huh?
Spent a little time at the arena watching my cousins rope.
Started this new thing called running. Evidently it is all the fad.
Spent every evening after work with these beauties.
Call me crazy, but not much beats the smell of a cold room.

Well that is just a little recap of all the crazy happenings of my life lately! I hope everything has been going good yall's way. Hopefully next time I won't go a month and a half without checking in. Until next time my loves!
