Quick Update

Ok guys well I will start by apologizing for being MIA this past week things have been absolutely crazyyyyyyy! Laker Lover's mom and sister from Oklahoma got here on Thursday and it has been sheer craziness. Luckily for me I did not respond to my wake up call (aka Laker Lover) this morning and had to skip the zoo trip.

So I was able to warn y'all on what the the next few weeks entail. Tuesday Laker Lover and I will be making a trip down south to Artesia for her cousins baby shower and to meet up with her family. Thursday we will leave for New Braunfels, Texas to float the river with some good friends & family && Tuesday Miss Artesia and I will be leaving for EGYPT!!

Yep, you heard me the time is almost here! In exactly 10 days I will be boarding a plane bound for the land of the pyramids! I could not be more excited. Well I take that back, I would be even more excited if I had all my things completely packed and ready to go! Man all this packing is wearing on a girl. So with that said, anybody who would like to volunteer to come pack for me, feel free too!

I will do my best to keep y'all updated along the way, but no guarantees. From now until I return on August 20, it will be without a doubt the best part of my summer, if not the best summer yet! I hope y'all are having a terrific summer!

FAQs

I know I have been doing a lot of link ups lately, so I thought I would answer some random questions for y'all to get to know me a little bit better.

1. Where were you 3 hours ago? Watching Act of Valor! A must see for everybody, SUCH a good message!

2. Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you? My fingernail polish! Orly Oh Cabana Boy! Y'all will fall in love.

3. What are you wearing right now? Shorts & my D-Wade tshirt.

4. What are the colors of your bedroom walls? Well since we are renting in the city I'll tell y'all about back at home (aka parent's house). My old room is a pearly white color. I got the genius idea the summer before my junior year that I was going to paint my room. Well if y'all know me, you know just painting my room was not good enough, so I decided to add a texture to the wall. Needless to say... 1 week later, about 10 gallons of paint, and who knows how much plaster later we finally finished. Yes I say we because my family being the angels that they are helped me finish this project since my genius self started this during 2-a-days. Haha good times in the country!

5. Can You Taste The Difference Between Pepsi And Coke? Yes! I am not a picky person when it comes to soda, but I can tell the difference.

6. What is your most treasured item? I don't just have one particular, but one of them is the painting of the NYC skyline my aunt painted for me.

7. Favorite 2 color combination? Black with just about anything! I guess if I had to pick I would say my 2 favorite colors... Black and Blue doll.

8. What is your favorite accessory? James Avery Heart ring my parents gave me Christmas '08 and I have not went a day without wearing it.

9. What is your favorite fashion store/shop? Forever 21

10. When was the last time you drove out of town? Last week. I drove to Lubbock to see friends and then back to my hometown to see my parents! Great trip!

11. What was the last thing you bought? I would probably have to say gas unfortunately!

12. Favorite tv show? Well this is a tough decision to make! If you caught my blog about tv shows I have several including, The Big Bang Theory, Whitney, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS, and Smash.

13. What is the first thing you think of when you wakeup in the morning? You have got to be kidding me!! 5 more minutes, PLEASEEEEEEE!

14. Biggest turn off? Bad attitude/personality.

15. What does your screen name mean/how did you come up with it? I am a country girl through and through who is currently getting her Doctorate in Pharmacy. Therefore I thought it was fitting to be Pharm-er Girl.

That is certainly a start to get to know me better! A few other insights can be found on my blog from last Sunday. Check it out!

Have a great weekend loves!

Tip Me Tuesday

Tip Junkie handmade projects

Ok y'all today we are linking up with Tip Junkie at Tip Me Tuesday!

I will say now that I did NOT develop this method but it is several methods combined that I found easiest, so here we go!

Have y'all ever wondered how to create ringtones out of your music already downloaded in iTunes? Well today is your lucky day because I am fixin' to tell you my favorite method for my iPhone!

1. Listen to the song and decide what clip of it you want as your ringtone. I suggest not using anything longer than 40 seconds for an optimal result!

2.  Right click on your selected song and click on "Get Info".

3. Click on the "Options" menu.

4. Add a "Start" and "Stop" time for the ringtone, then click "Ok".

5. Right click on the song and "Create an AAC Version". A new song with a shorter length should appear.

6. Drag the shorter version to your desktop and delete the SHORT copy still in your iTunes.

7. Change the name of your desktop ringtone to _____.m4r (instead of m4a) and drag it back into iTunes. The file should have moved directly to your Ringtones section of your iTunes.

8. Right click on the ORIGINAL song, go to the "Get Info" menu, "Options" tab, and unlick the start and stop times. This is will revert your song back to the full length. Click "Ok".

9. After you have converted all the songs you want, sync your phone to your iTunes. Make sure you have the ringtones selected you want to sync.

10. Select your new ringtone that you want to use and you are all set!

I hope this helps y'all out! Have a great Tuesday!

If You Really Knew Me

“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”
--Helen Keller

I saw this on Michelle's blog the other day, as well as a couple others, and thought it would be a good idea for me to do as well!

If you really knew me....

--You would know that ice cream is my favorite food.

--You would know that I can watch a movie one time & nearly quote 1/3 of it.

--You would know that I love the rainy, grey cool days && on that note, I am thinking about moving to Seattle.

--You would know that I have a scar on my head from my brother convincing me to jump out of the back a moving pick-up when I was about 10.

--You would know that I like to get 'gangsta' in my car on road trips and pretend I am a rap super star.

--You would know that I hate walking out to my car at night, whether I am in the country or in the city. Not my thing!

--You would know that even if you break my heart, I eventually will forgive you and give you another chance.

--You would know that I love to travel the world, even though I have only been to Australia and (soon to be) Egypt outside the good 'ol USA!

--You would know that the longer I am in the city, the more I miss the country.

--You would know that I have a fish named, Prince! He knows whats up.

--You would know that although I thoroughly enjoyed all my sports and extracurricular activities in high school, none of the plaques, ribbons, or trophies matter to me anymore. I am thankful for all the lessons learned, friends made, and experiences under my belt!

--You would know that I am brutally honest... Sometimes too honest, if we are being honest! ;)

--You would know that I love taking pictures, especially of landscape.

--You would know that one of the first things I do after I become a Pharmacist is go see the Northern Lights!

--You would know that I truly believe everything happens for a reason!

--You would know that I LOVE to laugh and make people laugh!

--You would know that Peyton Manning and Dwayne Wade are my two favorite athletes!

--You would know that I have recently loved reading.

--You would know that I wish I loved running.

--You would know that I have no problem making a fool of myself in public, especially if it helps brighten someone else's day.

Well I hope y'all enjoyed getting to know me a little bit better. I look forward to getting to know each one of y'all a little bit better!

Mid-Day Music Break

So I decided instead of writing a blog today I would just give y'all a couple links to some of my current favorite country songs to help pass your day by a little bit faster. I mean after all aren't we all ready for the weekend! I know I most certainly am! :)

First off, it obviously has to be a Brantley Gilbert song: My Kind of Crazy

Secondly, since I attended a Josh Abbott Band concert for the 4th of July: She's Like Texas

Third, you can never get tired of Eli Young Band: Even If It Breaks Your Heart

Fourth, although I am not real familiar with their music Love and Theft: Angel Eyes

Finally, the song of the summer by Mr. Luke Bryan himself: Drunk on You

I hope y'all enjoyed this music break and that it helped your Friday pass by a little bit faster!

Have a great weekend beauties!

Sunday Social Week

Sunday Social

Ok y'all today we are linking up with Neely & Ashley for Sunday Social Week.

Favorite TV Show of the Past?
Friends: This is an oldie, but a goody! A true classic in my opinion. Each character has their own uniqueness that brings this group of friends together and made the tv series successful for several years. No matter who you are, you were able to relate with one of the characters at some point or another.

Desperate Housewives: I started watching you from day one and even though you are like a night time soap I sure did enjoy you. Wisteria Lane is sadly going to be missed.

Favorite TV Show Currently?
That gets a little more tricky....

The Big Bang Theory: for anybody who has seen the Big Bang Theory just saying Sheldon should be enough said. Having a science mindset I really enjoy this show. Sheldon absolutely cracks me up.... BAZINGA!

Whitney: this is another new favorite. Whitney is slightly inappropriate, hilarious, loud, and one of a kind. Y'all need to check her out if you haven't already. She is a good time!

How I Met Your Mother: is another one of my original favs. I have been watching this one since the beginning as well. However I seriously doubt I will ever get to actually see Ted's wife, but Barney makes the show LEGEN.... I hope your not lactose intolerant....DARY!

NCIS: has been one of my favorites since it started. Abby is by far my favorite part about that show, but between the rest of the crew you can't help but love it.

Smash: is my new love. I am usually not a musical fan, but I sure have liked the opening season. Katharine McPhee is slowly becoming one of my favs.

What Reality Show Would You NEVER Do?

Bachelor or Bachelorette: Personally I think these shows are a load of crap. I mean who honestly believes that they can go on tv with 30 guys or so find true love? Also look at the places these shows are done at. Who the heck wouldn't "think" they were in love in all those fancy vacation spots. Well lets just say it is not for me.

What Reality Show Would You LOVE To Do?
The Amazing Race: even though I never really watch it. I mean who would say no at the opportunity to travel the world? Well not this girl!

TV Character/Personality That You Feel is Most Like You?
Well my family and friends seem to think I remind them of Whitney Cummings. Considering she is pretty hilarious I would most certainly call it a win.

TV Character You Would Want To Date?
Josh Duhamel from Las Vegas or any of his movies or him in real life would be fine with me. I mean just look at that face, hello gorgeous. That Fergie is a lucky woman.

I hope all you beauties are having a terrific Sunday!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Today we are hooking up with Ashley for her Friday's Letters series.

Dear Egypt Although I am getting SUPER excited and counting down the days (25 days to be exact), I am running around like a crazy person getting ready for you. So with that being said, you better be even more awesome that I am expecting. Also in preparation for you I watched Sex in the City 2. Yes I know it is not exactly the same, but it is the Middle East so I still count that as a win.

Dear Pool I know we had a lovely relationship this past week and I sure have missed you this week. We will meet again in the near future and I promise we can continue working on my lovely tan. Until then my love.

Dear Mrs. Texas I am so glad I got to see you this weekend! Gosh I have missed you. There are so many wonderful thing happening in your life and I can't wait to be apart of them. Love you doll!

Dear High School BFF I had an absolute BLAST spending the 4th with you! It has been entirely too long since I have seen you and next time we need to make sure its not near this long. I am so glad that no matter how long it has been we always pick right up from where we left off. I am so happy to hear you are doing great and I look forward seeing you soon.

Dear 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy First off, I am loving your books. I wish I had time to read all day, but then again I would read you wayyyy too fast and be done. So thank goodness my life is hectic enough for now that I still have some of the final book left.
Dear Laker Lover I know you are probably having withdraws from me, but we will soon be together again. I am getting really excited for the float trip! It will be an epic vacation! Get ready sweetheart, get ready! It's going to be like the old days. You know what that means.

Dear Silver Nail Polish I am very glad I bought you last week. I am just loving you and get a silly smile on my face when I look down and see you on my toes. Keep being awesome my friend.

Dear Sewing Machine I know we have had a love hate relationship in the past, but I have a serious amount of sewing to do in a short amount of time, so please please please with a cherry on top, lets get a long. Thanks for your cooperation doll!

Dear Weekend THANK YOU for finally making your appearance. I sure have been looking forward to you for the past 5 days!

Happy Birthday Dear

Well folks I am keeping it short today! Today is Mrs. Texas's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We will celebrate when I come see you this week! Love you!
