Catch Up Time

Alright guys, well I officially stink at bloggin' and Miss Football called me out on it the other day! I completely missed the entire month of July. :( Things have been pretty crazy around here lately. I am currently about to finish up my THIRD rotation for pharmacy school and gosh this summer has just flown by! Since I would be bloggin' for days about everything that has been going on, I figured I will just show a few pictures to catch y'all up on the last month and a half. Buckle up y'all, its going to be long!

Mom's side of the family went camping between Rotation 1 & 2!
It was an absolute blast & I wish we could have spent more than 4 days!
Here is a little description of Brother of Mine & my relationship.
Of course Laker Lover and I had to have a few BB dates
while I was back in ABQ for my 2nd rotation!
One of the easier weekend's I had on Rotation #2,
Laker Lover and I had a movie marathon while I did my nails!
Oh and of course I had to buy my personal car mascot :)
The last full weekend in ABQ, Laker Lover's Dad and Sister came to town.
We started off the weekend with dinner and a movie.
Of course you can't go to a movie without sneaking in some candy.
The next night, Laker Lover, her sister, Fratty Frat, My Little B & I
all went out to the famous DB! We met up with some other friends there
& had an absolute blast! Can't beat country music and two-steppin' cowboys.
I captured this beauty one of my last nights in town!
Man, how great is our GOD!
This little angel turned 6 & 7 months old while I was MIA!
Isn't she just absolutely precious?
P.S. Less than a week until I get to go stay with her :)
One night I got a little excited that we were finally getting
some of God's beautiful rain! Gotta love summertime monsoon season.
Home sweet home for Rotation #3 :)
I mean I guess I can live with driving past this beautiful scenery
twice a day on my way to work. Life is rough, huh?
Spent a little time at the arena watching my cousins rope.
Started this new thing called running. Evidently it is all the fad.
Spent every evening after work with these beauties.
Call me crazy, but not much beats the smell of a cold room.

Well that is just a little recap of all the crazy happenings of my life lately! I hope everything has been going good yall's way. Hopefully next time I won't go a month and a half without checking in. Until next time my loves!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Today we are hooking up with Ashley for her Friday's Letters series.

Dear Egypt Although I am getting SUPER excited and counting down the days (25 days to be exact), I am running around like a crazy person getting ready for you. So with that being said, you better be even more awesome that I am expecting. Also in preparation for you I watched Sex in the City 2. Yes I know it is not exactly the same, but it is the Middle East so I still count that as a win.

Dear Pool I know we had a lovely relationship this past week and I sure have missed you this week. We will meet again in the near future and I promise we can continue working on my lovely tan. Until then my love.

Dear Mrs. Texas I am so glad I got to see you this weekend! Gosh I have missed you. There are so many wonderful thing happening in your life and I can't wait to be apart of them. Love you doll!

Dear High School BFF I had an absolute BLAST spending the 4th with you! It has been entirely too long since I have seen you and next time we need to make sure its not near this long. I am so glad that no matter how long it has been we always pick right up from where we left off. I am so happy to hear you are doing great and I look forward seeing you soon.

Dear 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy First off, I am loving your books. I wish I had time to read all day, but then again I would read you wayyyy too fast and be done. So thank goodness my life is hectic enough for now that I still have some of the final book left.
Dear Laker Lover I know you are probably having withdraws from me, but we will soon be together again. I am getting really excited for the float trip! It will be an epic vacation! Get ready sweetheart, get ready! It's going to be like the old days. You know what that means.

Dear Silver Nail Polish I am very glad I bought you last week. I am just loving you and get a silly smile on my face when I look down and see you on my toes. Keep being awesome my friend.

Dear Sewing Machine I know we have had a love hate relationship in the past, but I have a serious amount of sewing to do in a short amount of time, so please please please with a cherry on top, lets get a long. Thanks for your cooperation doll!

Dear Weekend THANK YOU for finally making your appearance. I sure have been looking forward to you for the past 5 days!

Summer Time Recap

It's a smile, it's a kiss, it's a sip of wine..... IT'S SUMMER TIME!
-Kenny Chesney

Ladies and Gents....I apologize for being MIA lately, but sh*t has been crazy! So let’s do a “little” recap on all the happenings. I don’t exactly remember where I left y’all off at, but the last few weeks of school included all kind of fun activities!
Sand volleyball tournament with all the different north campus schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Med, Law, PT/OT, etc.)
Kickball tournament with the different Pharmacy classes
Got to see Mr. Paul Moya give another speech and yes this one made me cry again
Watched my darling cousin get 3rd in the State Softball tournament. Whooohoooo go MVCS!
Had a day of pampering including a massage, hair appointment, and pedicure. (Don’t judge me it was well deserved after finals! Or at least that is what I told myself.)
Watched my dear friend Ms. Nascar graduate from Pharmacy school! Let me tell you how cool that was. It was so inspiration to see the commencement ceremonies and know that in 2 short years I will be there as well! I cannot wait!! Y’all start the countdown for me :)
Finally, I left the big city in the rear view mirror and headed out to the ranch for my summer rotation! Well I had to do that twice (yes you are about to hear a blonde moment). So I get all my junk, which consists of clothes baskets packed full of clothes (I HATE PACKING!!), loaded up and get 60 miles out of town, when I suddenly remember that I forgot my Intern license. For those of you who aren’t familiar with pharmacy school rotations, I have 4 weeks, 160 hours, of free work and I can’t do the rotation without my license. So smart ‘ol me had to make a lovely U-turn and drive an extra 120 miles to get my license. Well despite the little tour, I had a lovely drive. My rotation went great and I am glad to say all 4 weeks of it passed by at lightning speed! I am officially ready for my summer to start!! Whoohooo :)
During my rotation I was fortunate enough to spend the 4 weeks with my father's parents at out at the ranch and I thoroughly enjoyed that!
After my rotation was over I was supposed to go camping with my mother's side of the family, but unfortunately due to all the fires going on we had to cancel the trip. Y'all make sure and keep all the men and women fighting these fires (Whitewater-Baldy [it is the biggest in state history, google it!] and Little Bear) in your prayers! They certainly deserve a big thanks from all of us!!
Well I think I recapped enough of what y'all missed. I apologize for missing out on all those pictures, but once I get back to civilization I will work better on this blog thing. In the mean time, I hope y'all are just having the best summer! Enjoy every single bit of it :)

I have a BIG announcement!

A life without adventure is likely to be unsatisfying, but a life in which adventure is allowed to take whatever form it will is sure to be short.

Well as if the title didn't give it away,
I have a BIG announcement!
I am sure at this point thousands of possibilities
are running through your heard right now.

What could it be?

Getting married? Well I would have to have a boyfriend or even be dating somebody for that to be a possibility, so unfortunately no! But don’t you worry I am still busy being awesome so no sad faces here! All smiles y’all :)

Joining the circus? I might be a little or a lot of crazy, but I certainly am not good at juggling or breathing fire or walking on tight ropes. So perhaps I will just add that to the list of fun things to try sometime. What do y'all think?

Is the suspense killing you yet?!?

Moving to Seattle? Well as much as I would love to visit and possibly move there one day, no. Before y’all even start telling me how depressing that weather is I must stop you. I absolutely love cloudy days and from being raised the middle of the country in Eastern New Mexico any chance I get to see rain or green grass, I love it! So this is more of a ‘not yet’ rather than no.

Alright enough is enough, I will tell you…. Mother Dearest was in town last night and it was absolutely lovely. We did a little shopping after class on Friday then had dinner with some friends Friday night and finished up her time with lunch today! It was so nice having some family time even if it was for less than 24 hours! It was absolutely lovely!

Oh wait I was supposed to tell y’all about my big news.

Sorry y’all the A.D.D. kicked in and I got side tracked. Ok, no more waiting…. I am going to Egypt this summer! What? Egypt? Why? How long? I am sure y’all are anxious wondering all those questions. Well the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation is having its 58th annual conference and I am going. Yep, that’s right Miss Artesia and I, along with over 500 student pharmacists from all over the world will be attending this conference. I am sure I will have several blogs until then covering this issue, but I just wanted to drop the bomb on it tonight. If you can’t tell I am more than excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity. Stay tuned for updates on this trip!

Have a great Sunday y'all!
