Catch Up Time

Alright guys, well I officially stink at bloggin' and Miss Football called me out on it the other day! I completely missed the entire month of July. :( Things have been pretty crazy around here lately. I am currently about to finish up my THIRD rotation for pharmacy school and gosh this summer has just flown by! Since I would be bloggin' for days about everything that has been going on, I figured I will just show a few pictures to catch y'all up on the last month and a half. Buckle up y'all, its going to be long!

Mom's side of the family went camping between Rotation 1 & 2!
It was an absolute blast & I wish we could have spent more than 4 days!
Here is a little description of Brother of Mine & my relationship.
Of course Laker Lover and I had to have a few BB dates
while I was back in ABQ for my 2nd rotation!
One of the easier weekend's I had on Rotation #2,
Laker Lover and I had a movie marathon while I did my nails!
Oh and of course I had to buy my personal car mascot :)
The last full weekend in ABQ, Laker Lover's Dad and Sister came to town.
We started off the weekend with dinner and a movie.
Of course you can't go to a movie without sneaking in some candy.
The next night, Laker Lover, her sister, Fratty Frat, My Little B & I
all went out to the famous DB! We met up with some other friends there
& had an absolute blast! Can't beat country music and two-steppin' cowboys.
I captured this beauty one of my last nights in town!
Man, how great is our GOD!
This little angel turned 6 & 7 months old while I was MIA!
Isn't she just absolutely precious?
P.S. Less than a week until I get to go stay with her :)
One night I got a little excited that we were finally getting
some of God's beautiful rain! Gotta love summertime monsoon season.
Home sweet home for Rotation #3 :)
I mean I guess I can live with driving past this beautiful scenery
twice a day on my way to work. Life is rough, huh?
Spent a little time at the arena watching my cousins rope.
Started this new thing called running. Evidently it is all the fad.
Spent every evening after work with these beauties.
Call me crazy, but not much beats the smell of a cold room.

Well that is just a little recap of all the crazy happenings of my life lately! I hope everything has been going good yall's way. Hopefully next time I won't go a month and a half without checking in. Until next time my loves!

Life Update With Rotations

Well I know my posts are pretty much once a month and I apologize, but for lack of better words . . . Shit got crazy! G-Ma if you are reading this, I am sorry for cussing. Anyways life has been as busy as ever, so I'll try my best not to leave anything out.

1-Packed my car up with everything that was left in my house && I even had room to spare in my passenger seat. Score!

2-Stopped in Las Cruces and spent about 4 days with my G-Ma and Papa for some much needed R&R. We had a lot of fun and of course hit up my 2 favorite spots in Cruces, Andele's and Caliches! Yum!

Also while I was in Cruces we went and put flowers on the graves of all our loved ones that are smiling down on us. Here are my 2 great-grandparent's graves.

3-Next stop was down to Silver City for a few days before my rotation started. I was lucky and got my parents to come down too. While my parents were busy working on the ranch I was getting settled in and spending time with my youngest cousin, Riley! She is a doll!

4-Then finally rotations started. This month I am at Albertson's in Silver City. It has been a great one to start with. My preceptor has had a lot of fun things set up for me including following an internal medicine doctor with his own private practice. It was so nice to see how the other side of the prescription pad operates and I was able to answer any questions his patients had about medications. Needless to say I am 2 weeks into my rotation, have driven over 1,000 miles and having a blast. This is a little different type of summer time fun, but I am still loving it!

5-Oh and this is just a few of the gems that I found in Neno's stash of pictures. Look how cute Brother of Mine and I were back in the day. P.S. Look at that dress I am wearing too. Ha I am glad those days are over! :)

6-Finally just a few of my favorite pictures I have stumbled upon over the past few weeks. Enjoy.

7-This past Saturday, my lovely parents celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary! They are such a good example of a strong marriage and true love. Love you both! (Parents if you are reading this: Yes this is the last shout out I will be giving you guys since I have exhausted all my options, so don't worry.)

8-I ended up taking my handy 'ol otter box on my most recent trip home from Cruces and I am finally getting to use this cute phone cover I bought in March. Happiness is . . .

9-Since my next rotation is back in ABQ I thought I would start pumping myself up with a little e-card humor and changing my FB picture to the city lights!

10-I just had to this one because not only do I make lists for everything (as if the numbered topics didn't give it off already), but I am also OCD and wanted them to end a multiple of 5 (my favorite number). Weird I know, but hey that's me! I hope yall's summer is going just as great. Until next time my loves!

Tuesday Fun

As y'all all know, last week another year bit the dust! Of course my friends were kind enough to celebrate this joyous occasion with me. How else better to celebrate this occasion than a steak and a night full of dancing. I was blessed to have so many wonderful friends come out and celebrate it with me. Here are a few snap shots of our night of fun :)

Spring Break Recap

Spring Break 2013, man it was one for the books! Well I am not kidding about that, I don't think I have drove over 1800 miles during a spring break yet. It was 1800 miles of sheer goodness!

I started off by leaving town Friday at 1 pm to drive 11 hours to see my brother in Kansas! Lucky for me, my parents were still there on their spring break too so I got to see them as well! It was great! We started off Saturday at a Manhattan tradition, Fake Patty's Day. Have y'all heard about it? Well it is a day filled with "adult" festivities that about 25,000 people travel into town for! :) We started off bright and early and had a long fun filled day with lots of Brother of Mine's friends. Lets just say after the day, I was ready to go home and put on my pj's! The rest of the weekend was great. A lot of relaxing, laughing, catching up, and pure bliss. Seriously, one weekend with my family can cure all problems!

Tuesday morning the parents and I got up and drove back to our home area. We split off at Amarillo, they went home and I headed south to Lubbock to see three of my favorites, Mrs. Texas, Future Famous Guy, and High School BFF. I was lucky enough to actually get to see all of them so mission accomplished! Then perhaps the best part of the trip (don't tell the other three) I got to babysit my favorite little one, Miss Kaydence Lynn! She is just as adorable as y'all remember!

After Lubbock, I spent less than 24 hours at home! It was absolutely wonderful! The dirt roads, open space, starry nights and pure silence was great! Exactly the quiet get away I needed to finish off the hectic break! I drove back to the city on Friday (boo)! Since Laker Love was pretty much having withdrawals from one of her favorites, I decided to send her a little pick me up via texting.

On my way back home I was able to straighten out some details with Lovely Country Mess, and guess what!?!? She was already planing on coming to town to watch the Melrose Lady Buffaloes in the state championship, but then I convinced her to come up early and stay with me! Whoop whoop :)

Saturday was a fun filled day of basketball, basketball, and more basketball! Oh and did I mention that Miss Football and I made a bet on the championship game since it was her high school v. mine! Well unfortunately for me I ended up losing, and you will hear all about it on Wednesday, so stay tuned! After we watched the Lady Buffaloes, we went back to my casa to watch the Lobo game. All I can say about that is .... EVERYONE'S A LOBO! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! After the game was over we were back on route to the pit to watch the 5A boys state game. Unfortunately after all the games were over, Lovely Country Mess and her bf had to go home, as did I.

Lovely Country Mess and I.
Oh and the sweet b-day card she got me!

Sunday was not near as fun! I had to catch up on the un-fun things that I didn't do the past week. You know homework, studying, and laundry. Blah blah blah!

Here's to a great week my friends!

Happy Monday Y'all

I am still soaking up the rays in California, but I found a video for all you country kids out there to reminisce on the good 'ol days of showing. Oh and city folk, this is a little insight into our great world of showing that you are missing out on.

Happy Monday y'all!

Update on My Life

As I am sure most of y'all have picked up on, I have been super busy since we last talked! These past few weeks/weekends have been super hectic! To start off where we finished last time, the pledging went great with My Little B great! She looked pretty stinking awesome with her feather headdress as you can see...

Geriatrics day in lab! I got to be a little old lady
with my Vaseline covered glasses & sling!

Little B & I

You guys missed out on the happiest week of the year for most of my life... State Fair! My parents came into town the first weekend of the fair, along with my entire Mother's side, part of my Father's side and friends from across the state! It was a terrific weekend to say the least. A much deserved weekend of familiarity! As for results my family had a great year in the steer show! Between three kids and five steers they had 3 class winners, 2 second place calves, 2 breed champions, and 1 reserve breed champion! Whew what a great year!

Champion Simmental
Champion Angus!
Oh and we also had 2 dang awful tests this past week, so I was not a fan of that cutting into my fair time! Finally, on to this past weekend. Friday after our last test, Laker Lover, Fratty Frat and I left to Oklahoma to meet up with Laker Lover's dad, uncle and my brother! Saturday morning we started out with breakfast at Laker Lover's mother's house, then off to tailgating we went. It was an absolute blast, just as expected! Towards the later part of the day we had a surprise visit from our friend, Nebraska. We went to undergrad with her and she is now at OSU (I know, don't hold it against her though! She doesn't know any better!) working on her PhD. Needless to say it was really great seeing her!

The game didn't exactly turn out to be how we (everybody, but brother) were expecting, but it was still a great trip! I could not of asked for a better weekend to finish off my awesome week! I hope everybody else's week/weekends have been just as great! I will work on keeping y'all more up to date on my life happenings.
